Questions People Ask

The honest answers, up front.

What does a comprehensive financial plan actually include?

A written plan covering your goals, cash-flow analysis, retirement income projections, tax strategy, investment allocation, insurance review, and estate considerations — all coordinated in a single document. It’s a roadmap you can refer back to and revise as life changes, not a one-time sales pitch.

How is your fee structure determined?

As independent advisors through LPL Financial, our compensation depends on the type of engagement — fee-based advisory, commission, or a combination — and we walk through every detail in plain English before any agreement is signed. You’ll always know exactly what you’re paying for, with no surprises or hidden costs.

When is the right time to start working with a financial advisor?

Sooner is almost always better. Whether you’re early in your career building wealth, navigating a major life transition, or approaching retirement, comprehensive planning helps you make better decisions today and prepares you for what’s next. We’re happy to have a no-obligation conversation to see if we’re a good fit, regardless of where you are on your journey.

Will you coordinate with my CPA, attorney, and other professionals?

Absolutely. Truly comprehensive planning means working alongside the other professionals in your life — your accountant, estate attorney, business advisor, or insurance specialists — so that tax strategy, legal documents, and financial planning all pull in the same direction. With your permission, we’ll communicate directly with your team to keep everyone aligned.

How often will we review and update my financial plan?

Most clients meet with us at least annually for a full plan review, with additional check-ins around major life events — a job change, the sale of a business, a new family member, or a market event you want to talk through. You’ll also have direct access to our team between meetings whenever questions come up.
